The Cost of a Chesterton Education

Chesterton Academy is committed to offering an outstanding high school education at an affordable cost to families and therefore we have the lowest tuition in the area. Because tuition does not cover the full cost of an education at Chesterton, families are expected to aid in fundraising and recruiting efforts throughout the school year.

  • Tuition: $11,500 (pre Step Up Scholarship dollars)
    Enrollment Fee: $500
    Book Fee: $500 due June 1, 2025

    * Fees are not refundable.

  • Florida is a school choice state. That means that all Chesterton Academy students are eligible for scholarship money from the State of Florida through the Step Up for Students program. This academic year, most high school students in Sarasota County received $8,178 in tuition scholarship funding, which means our families tuition responsibility was $2,822 for the 2024-25 academic year.

    Chesterton accepts FTC and FES-EO scholarships including FES-Unique Abilities. Learn more about Step Up Scholarships here. (Note: Parent placed private school student with a unique ability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended.)

    Chesterton Academy utilizes the services of TADS to help us fairly allocate our limited aid dollars. A student application process must be completed in full before being considered for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance is available to families who apply until our financial aid budget has been allocated to qualified students.

    Tuition assistance does not factor into a decision for accepting a student into Chesterton Academy. Financial need should not deter any students from applying as we are committed to working with families to ensure their students are able to receive a Chesterton education.
