Mr. Tom Lelyo earned his undergraduate degree in Theology and Philosophy from DeSales University in Allentown, PA, and his Master’s in Systematic Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA. For over a decade, he served in full-time youth ministry teaching teens and helping them grow deeper in knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. He knows how to ask tough questions and how to make the truths of the Church both accessible and inspiring to his students.

In addition to ministry and teaching, Mr. Lelyo has a deep love for music. He has been playing liturgical music and leading worship at Masses since his teenage years. In 2008, he co-wrote an e-book with Martin Doman entitled, The Spirit of Worship, which explores the beauty found within the Church’s musical traditions, from sacred chant to contemporary praise and worship music. His experience in Catholic school music ministry includes directing the choir at St. Martha Catholic School from 2016 to 2018, and since 2022, he has led the choir at Incarnation Catholic School.

Mr. Lelyo resides in Sarasota with his wife—his high school sweetheart—their five children, and two energetic golden doodles. Together, they are parishioners of Incarnation Catholic Church, where they actively serve in the music ministry, regularly leading worship for the Sunday 5:00 PM Mass and monthly Eucharistic Adoration. Guided by his faith, Mr. Lelyo draws inspiration from his favorite Scripture verse, John 10:10: “I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly.”
