Mr. Anthony Suppa is a passionate artist whose experience and faith will be a true asset to Chesterton students. His education encompasses traditional principles, art history and theory, and contemporary concepts. He has been trained in 2D design, classical drawing and painting, figures, anatomy, portraiture, composition, perspective, still life and landscape. He uses many mediums such as charcoal, conte crayon, pastels, but his true love is oils. He attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL and then joined an Artist Colony in West Palm Beach, where his work was displayed in galleries and he received commissioned work. During that time, he apprenticed under Ralph Wolfe Cowan, the famed Master Portrait painter, who painted more reigning monarchs - Kings, Queens, Presidents, Sultans, Popes - than any other painter in history. In 2005, Mr. Suppa enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and is an Iraqi and Afghanistan Combat Veteran. He resides in Venice, Florida with his wife and four daughters and continues to accept commissions for Portraits and Sacred Art.
