Mrs. Sharon Guerin has one goal –– she desires to help Chesterton students grow closer to God. That is exactly what she did last year as Chesterton’s founding music teacher and what she’s been doing in her 15 years of teaching choirs. As she notes, the main musical instrument of the Mass is the human voice. She taught our students to participate in the Mass as vocalists, which helps them engage in a more spiritual and physical way to glorify God. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1983 and has always had a passion for music. She will continue to share her faith and joy with our school as a substitute teacher.
