Raising Up Joyful Leaders & Saints
St. Nicholas Gifting Challenge | 12.03.2024
The month of November gave us much for which to be grateful as our students participated in some fall fun, attended the diocesan Youth Rally, explored the Ringling Museum of Art and then rounded out the month by giving back to the community.
The most important aspect of our school day is daily Mass. For the past three and half months, our students have received our Eucharistic Lord every day and prayed for our families, community members in need, and all our supporters that have contributed to making Chesterton Academy of St. Padre Pio a reality. We have also received “praise reports” of healing and health improvements for those offered in our Mass intentions, demonstrating the power of this highest form of prayer. Our goal of helping students know their purpose and grow in the faith has become a reality.
As we look forward to the month of December, with hearts full of gratitude, we are launching our St. Nicholas Gifting Challenge. This family-led fundraiser is what helps us keep our tuition low and ensures our ability to provide our Catholic classical curriculum, often called a “healing curriculum.” In the month of Giving Tuesday (today) and St. Nicholas’ Feast Day (this Friday), we ask that you consider us in your gift-giving! You can donate in honor of a student, a house, or as a friend of the school. It takes many hands to raise up the next generation of leaders and saints! Won’t you partner with us once more?

Volunteering at St. John’s Christmas Tree Lot
Several of our students took time during the Thanksgiving break to volunteer at the St. John’s Christmas Tree Lot. The proceeds from the sales support ministries that help the homeless and those in need. From hauling Christmas trees out to cars to making beautiful wreaths for sale, our teens got an early start to the season of giving.

Diocesan Youth Rally Ignites Faith
Chesterton Academy of St. Padre Pio was happy to join other area Catholic high schools and over 1,800 teens at the annual diocesan Youth Rally. Students heard from inspiring speakers, sang great praise songs led by the Josh Blakesley Band, and participated in Confession and Adoration. The night ended with the celebration of the Mass with Bishop Frank Dewane in a powerful day that ignited the youth of the Diocese!
