We Have Launched Our School, Help Us Soar

“Why fly like a hen when you can soar like an eagle?”

“Finalmente!”  Finally!  This was the word Fr. John Belmonte, SJ, Superintendent of School for the Diocese of Venice, stated in our first inaugural Mass of the Holy Spirit on August 12, 2024. That one word summed up the feelings of all the founders, faculty, and families that have been working hard and praying unceasingly for the opening of Chesterton Academy of St. Padre Pio.

We have now completed two weeks of school and have already seen a marked difference in the demeanor and faith of our students as they have received Christ in the Eucharist daily, begun studying the Big Questions of philosophy, God’s plan in theology, the human condition in literature and history, spoken and sung in Latin, the language of the Church, and delved deeper into the scientific discoveries that help us to understand God’s creation. Adding to their character formation and skills is dance, music, and art classes, which the students have approached with openness and good cheer.

We are extremely excited for this new chapter in the history of Chesterton Academy of St. Padre Pio as we labor to bring to fruition the vision and mission of our school in the daily lives of our students. We strive for everything we do at Chesterton Academy to be intentional. We ask you now to continue supporting our school with intention because what you are investing in is real and long lasting, and making a tangible impact on the lives of young people. To that end, we’re launching the Padre Pio Donor Challenge. We are very grateful to a first-time donor, who has agreed to give us up to $35,000 for a match challenge! With much excitement, we ask you to please help us raise a total of $70,000 by the Feast of St. Padre Pio, September 23, 2024! Every dollar you donate will be matched doubling your impact.
