Valeriya Zaytseva

Ms. Valeriya Zaytseva has been tutoring mathematics since 2019 and successfully tutored Chesterton students in math and Latin over the past year. She helped her students build confidence through thoughtful problem-solving and patient encouragement. She enjoys making challenging concepts approachable and believes that mastering mathematics and languages develops not only technical ability, but also perseverance, discipline, and logical reasoning.

Ms. Valeriya received her Associate of Arts with coursework in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Commercial Entrepreneurship from Florida State University. She was initiated into FSU's Honors Program and the Jim Moran (Entrepreneurial) Incubator. Concurrently, she completed the Food & Beverage Management Program through Cornell University. A successful entrepreneur, she founded and operates two companies: an advertising agency and an online retail brand.

This year, Ms. Valeriya looks forward to spearheading the inaugural Chesterton Mock Trial Team, giving our students the opportunity to foster an appreciation for inquisitive dialogue, intellectual curiosity, and the pursuit of truth. Her experience stems from founding her high school’s Mock Trial Team and Model United Nations chapter, both of which won awards. She was also a member of the Speech & Debate Team, where she served as Vice President, and is an alumna of the National Speech & Debate Association.

As an academic enthusiast, she is happy to be part of a community that values truth, joy, and beauty in education. Ms. Valeriya is excited to teach math and Latin within the classical tradition at Chesterton Academy of St. Padre Pio and hopes to foster a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, delight in discovering new ideas, and grow into thoughtful, lifelong learners.

Ms. Valeriya’s motto is Ama et fac quod vis! {Love, and do what you will!} - St. Augustine
