Ms. Zöe Rizzo is a practicing artist and proponent of the atelier tradition, applying representational techniques with historical roots dating back to the Middle Ages. After beginning her fine arts studies at Ringling College of Art and Design, she pursued specialized instruction at the Miano Academy of Art, where she continues her education as a full-time apprentice. She has sold gallery work, taken private commissions, and painted murals for local businesses while continuing to display her work at group exhibitions. Zöe credits the Lord with her sustained ability to study the craft of drawing, and believes strongly that an understanding of the visual arts is paramount to noticing, comprehending, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world.
