Advent’s Promise
Advent is a beautiful time to reflect on the virtue of patience, trust and surrender –– all lessons we have been learning as we wait to celebrate the opening of this amazing school. We want to celebrate every milestone because we see how God is working in all the details so we are happy to report the following:
1.) Our website has been updated to include admissions, application process, student life, pilgrimage and college counseling information.
2.) We have had several students apply and begin the enrollment process
3.) We have three testing dates in January for incoming Freshman (see our website regarding incoming sophomores and juniors).
4.) We will have our first info session of 2024 on Jan. 20th (followed by the students Nerf War fun).
5.) We are grateful to be narrowing down our location search and have two viable locations we are pursuing.
6.) We have had several enthusiastic applicants for our headmaster position and will start interviewing in early January.
7.) We will have a great fundraising speaker event on Tuesday, Feb. 6th featuring Dale Alquist, founder of G.K Chesterton Society and the first ever Chesterton Academy, along with acclaimed English-born author and fellow Chestertonian Joseph Pearce. Additional information will follow. Save the date!
We are grateful to all our benefactors who have gotten us this far. The money raised in our campaign allows us to keep tuition low and ensures those students in financial need get the assistance to receive a Chesterton education. As the Founding Board, we commit to doing the work of opening this school, but it’s our benefactors that help us make it a reality. In that spirit, one of our generous benefactors has agreed to match up to $17,000 raised by Dec. 31st. If you have been thinking of donating or know of others that would get behind our mission, please let them know today about this exciting match challenge for end-of-year giving.
We leave you with these words from St. Paul as a promise that we will continue to do good knowing that at the end of Advent, we will celebrate Christmas and at the end of this adventure, we will celebrate opening our doors in August!
